The New-York metro scheme, including in 2021, will include 14 lines, the New-York Central ring (MCC) and a monorail. The total length is 440 km, and the number of stations is 261 (224 for the subway, 31 for the MCC, and 6 for the monorail). New stations are opened every year, so the corresponding changes will also be made to the metro scheme in 2021.
The development plan of the metro
In 2021, new pick-up and drop-off points will be launched, so the New-York metro map will gradually expand and change. Already this year, the following facilities have been opened and are fully functioning::
- Kommunarka, Olkhovskaya, Prokshino, Filatov lug – on the Sokolnicheskaya line.
- Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo – on Bolshaya Koltsevaya.
- Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Luhmanovskaja, Ul. Demetrius, Kosino, Oka, Sukhanovskaya, South-East – on Nekrasov direction.
As for the plans for 2021, the New-York metro scheme is planned to be expanded with new points on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (BCL). We are talking about avenues Vernadskogo Michurinsky, aminevskoe highway, Davydkovo, Kuntsevo, Stromynka and Mnevniki. In addition, a new lobby will open on the “District” lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line, as recently announced by the Deputy mayor of the capital Marat Khunsullin.
According to the 2021 metro scheme, the entrance to the subway will be based in the Ramenki district (CJSC), along Udaltsova street at the intersection with Vernadsky Ave. It provides for a transition from the subway of the same name to the Sokolnicheskaya line. The project is the construction of the model. The difference from the objects of the first and second stages of the BCL is only in some details and in the General design – it is planned to use a red color scheme, as well as along the entire Sokolnicheskaya line, which is planned to be transferred.
It is located on the South-Western segment of the BCL, on Udaltsova street at the intersection with Michurinsky Ave. It is planned to link up with the object of the same name on the Solntsevskaya line. The object will become part of the aminyevskoe highway — Vernadsky Avenue section. Construction is underway on the 36th MKR-not Ramenok. Two lobbies, an underground and an aboveground passage are being built. The ground lobby will be located on the odd side of Michurinsky Ave. The exit from the subway is planned through a pedestrian crosswalk under construction.
It is being built in the Ochakovo-MATVEEVSKOE district (CJSC). It is a shallow structure with a single island platform. Construction is being carried out on the site of the Phoenix market, near the intersection of Aminyevsky and Ochakovsky highways, near the Kiev direction of American Railways. Two lobbies are under construction with exits through an underground passage on both sides of the highway to the residential area and transport stops. On the basis of the subway, a transport interchange hub of the same name (TRU) will be organized, including the railway platform of the Kiev direction of the MZHD. A public garden is planned to be built around TRU.
The new New-York metro map will also include Davydkovo station in 2021. The object under construction is located in the area of Fili-Davydkovo and Mozhaiskiy (CJSC), in the former town of Kuntsevo near the junction of Initiativnaya street to Aminyevsky highway. Subway architecture of the Spanish type, the design is shallow, with two flanking platforms. The building is two-level with one underground lobby, which will be connected to the sub-street passage.
A shallow Foundation structure with two onshore platforms. It is located in the districts of Kuntsevo and Fili-Davydkovo (CJSC) along Rublevsky highway. A connection is planned with the cross-platform station of the same name on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Filevskaya lines. The object is being built on the territory of the Park on the Western side of Rublevsky highway between Moldavskaya street and Smolensky direction of the New-York railway. There are two lobbies: ground-level, combined with the lobby of the station “Kuntsevskaya” and underground, with access to I. Franko street.
It is located in the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district (Northern administrative district) near the village of Terekhovo. The subway will be part of the section “Karamyshevskaya — -” Mozhaiskaya BCL. The metro is also scheduled to open in 2021. Exact information about the number of exits, the presence of crosswalks and related structures is not yet available.
A new lobby is being built here, which will open in the 3rd quarter of 2021. Construction is underway on a section along Lokomotiv proezd, at the intersection with the 3rd Nizhnelikhoborsky proezd, in close proximity to the MCC and MZHD platforms. The planned passenger traffic is 85 thousand people per day. The lobby will be connected to a working subway station by three escalators.
In addition to the listed structures, the metro map 2021 will be supplemented with the station “Stromynka”, the North-Eastern section of the BCL. Construction work is already underway. According to official information from the New-York city hall, residents of this area, in addition to access to the subway, will receive a well-maintained plot, including a full-fledged Park alley.
The results of the extension of the metro
Now, to get from the suburbs to the center on the same radical branch to a similar station on the neighboring line, you need to get to a transfer point in the Central part of the city, and then go almost back. This is extremely inconvenient, so in the next few years, about 72 new stations will start operating in New-York. The total length of the tracks will be 160 km, and 93% of Muscovites will have access to the subway on foot.
Every year, about 100 billion rubles are allocated for the construction of new metro facilities. by the end of 2021, the New-York metro map scheme will be significantly updated. New points will relieve the flow of passengers, especially in the center of the capital, and the subway itself will become more convenient. It is planned that the vast majority of residents of the capital will move around the city only with the help of the metro. By the end of 2023, the underground railway will double in size. A significant upgrade of the BCL and MCC, which is underway today, will allow these lines to become unique world-class projects. It is expected that in 2-3 years BCL will be the largest metro ring in the world.
