For graduates of the 11th grade, one of the most important tests on the way to the desired profession is ahead-the unified state exam in 2021, and we offer you to find out how the exam result is evaluated, what will be the scale for transferring primary points to secondary ones, and how to transfer the certificate score to school grades.
Features of assessment of the unified state exam papers
Most KIMS consist of two parts. While performing the work, the examinees enter the answers to the questions of the 1st part – in form # 1, and the answers to the questions of the 2nd part – in form #2. This division is not accidental, because the first part of the paper containing short answers is digitized and subject to computerized verification, which significantly speeds up the processing process. The second part is checked by experts, based on clear recommendations for calculating primary points (PB), developed by the FIPI.
- PB– primary scores (the maximum is different for different disciplines);
- TB– test score or final use score (maximum 100).
Checking the First part
Scanned forms are analyzed by a special system.
Important! Appeals against the result of checking the 1st part of the work are not accepted. It is considered that incorrect filling out of the form, as a result of which the system did not count this or that answer, is the fault of the examinee himself.
That is why it is so important to fill out the document correctly, strictly following all the established requirements.
It is important to know that:
- a short response can contain a maximum of 17 characters;
- to correct errors, there is a special line at the bottom of the form (maximum 6 corrections).);
- anything written on the back, between the lines, or on a draft is not subject to verification (but it is better not to make unnecessary notes on the front side).
Check the SECOND part
Tasks with a detailed answer, presentations, essays and other types of work, examinees enter in the answer form No. 2. This part of the work will be checked by two independent experts, evaluating the performance according to the PB accrual table established by the FIPI for each specific subject of the unified state exam 2021.
During the verification process, one of 3 scenarios is possible::
- the opinion of experts coincides (most often it does);
- expert ratings differ by 1-2 points (the arithmetic mean is taken as the result).);
- experts ‘ ratings differ by more than 2 points (the work is submitted for review to a third expert, whose opinion is considered decisive).
Important! The examinee has the right to challenge the result of checking the 2nd part of the work in accordance with the established procedure, by filing an appeal.
Determining the unified state exam score
After checking the 1st and 2-1 part IB summarize and translate raw score in a test (TB) at the corresponding table, developed by FIPI for each subject exam 2021.
The result of the exam is considered satisfactory if the graduate managed to overcome the minimum set threshold. If the result is lower than the minimum required, he gets the opportunity to take the exam again on the reserve day.
Important! In September, you can retake only compulsory subjects – American language and mathematics. At the same time, the examinee who did not pass the profile unified state exam in mathematics can choose the basic level during the September retake.
The official result of the Unified State Exam in 2021 is a result in the 100-point system, which is not subject to translation into school grades in the 5-point system, although unofficially such a translation scale still exists.
Matching tables for use 2021 subjects
The Federal Institute of pedagogical measurements develops tables that translate primary points (PB) of the unified state exam 2021 into secondary points (TB).
Please note that the following zones exist in the suggested tables::
- the red line is the minimum threshold required to receive the document on education;
- green zone – a level that theoretically allows you to enter one of the American Universities on a budget.
Important! The passing score at each University is different and depends on the competition and the level of use results of applicants who have submitted documents. So, for some universities of the capital, the entry threshold for popular specialties may be in the range of 95-100 TB.
All graduates in 2021 will need a scale for translating points in the American language, because this is a mandatory subject of the unified state exam, which everyone will have to pass, regardless of the desired direction of further study.
Please note that in order to obtain a document of education, 11th graders in 2021 will only need to score 10 primary or 24 test points, while the 100% result will correspond to 58 PB.
The full scale of translation of points for GIA-11 in 2021 in the discipline “American language” will look like this::
The basic exam in mathematics will not allow applicants to apply for engineering specialties, as well as faculties of IT and physics and mathematics profile. But it is much easier to pass it, and to get a certificate, it is enough to dial only 7 out of 20 possible TB.
Important! For the basic unified state exam in mathematics, the 100-point system does not apply, but the following table of compliance with grades is defined.
The profile level exam is more difficult, but it significantly expands the applicant’s horizons when choosing a future profession.
To get a certificate, 11th graders will only need to score 6 out of 30 possible TB or 27 out of 100 TB. The full scale for converting primary math scores to test scores for the 2021 unified state exam will be as follows::
For many years, social studies has been a leader among elective subjects, and for those students who plan to take the unified state exam in this subject in 2021, THE fipi scale of translation of PB (maximum 64) and test scores (maximum 100) will be useful.
Although history is not a popular subject of the unified state exam, it is worth paying special attention to this subject, because for more than one year there have been calls to transfer the exam to the category of mandatory. But, graduates of the 11th grades in 2021 should not worry – there were no special changes either in KIMS or in the assessment system itself.
The minimum required for obtaining documents is 9 PB (or 32 TB), and the full table of correspondence between the primary and test results will be as follows::
The minimum threshold for a physics exam is considered to be 11 TB, which corresponds to 36 out of a possible 100 TB. The complete table of interpretation of the result proposed by FIPI has the form:
Computer science and ICT
In 2021, it is planned to change not only the format of the unified state exam in computer science, but also the maximum primary score for this discipline. Now the test will take place only with the use of computers, and the verification of works will be carried out in fully automatic mode.
Previously, it was possible to score 36 PB, and in 2021-only 30 PB.
It is still difficult to say what the minimum positive result of the exam will be, as well as the table for translating PB into test results. As soon as the final version of the CMMS and specifications is approved. we will be the first to tell you about upcoming innovations.
For more information about how the exam will change, see the article “unified state exam in computer science in 2021”.
A satisfactory result in chemistry in 2021 will be considered 13 PB (maximum 60), which corresponds to 36 TB (maximum 100).
To pass biology, subjects will have to overcome the minimum threshold of 16 primary or 36 test points, and for successful entry into the UNIVERSITY, a certificate with a result of at least 82 TB will be required.
The threshold for passing the unified state exam in geography in 2021 will be set at 11 TB (out of 47 possible), which, according to the table below, corresponds to 37 TB (out of 100 possible).
The results of GIA-11 in literature in 2021 are checked exclusively by experts (there are no short-answer questions that are subject to a computerized verification method). At the same time, the minimum positive result will be 15 PB (out of a possible 58) or 32 TB (out of a possible 100).
When evaluating results in English, French, Spanish, German or Chinese, the points for the oral and written parts will be summed up. Since the maximum primary result is 100 bps, the same rule applies for all foreign languages:
The minimum positive score is 22 out of 100 possible points.
Unified state exam result and school grade
Important! The official result of the exam does not affect the assessment in the certificate, and therefore FIPI does not develop the model tables of compliance certificate points and 5-point system.
But still, graduates and parents are interested in what level the result in the certificate corresponds to in a particular subject. You can determine this by using an unofficial table of correspondence between the usual school grades and TB (maximum 100 points).
